Orbital welding of titanium – with documented quality

When you're the best at titanium welding, it's only natural to lead the way in orbital welding as well – an automated method that ensures precision and repeatable quality, especially with demanding materials.

This week, SPOT AS hosted an independent third-party inspector from FORCE Technology, who monitored and recorded the orbital welding process for titanium pipes. The goal was to verify that the welding method meets the high standards required for an internationally recognized WPQR (Welding Procedure Qualification Record).

The weld samples are now being sent to a materials laboratory, where they will undergo comprehensive testing to assess strength, quality, and compliance with the relevant standards. Once the tests are passed, SPOT AS will have a fully approved welding procedure in accordance with international requirements.

This is yet another confirmation that SPOT AS remains at the forefront – both technically and technologically – delivering proven quality for demanding projects.
